Inside the curing process
A closer look at the chambers and equipment used to dry our tobacco leaf.
Four tobacco types, as reported in the Azerbaijani source document. The source does not establish a correspondence between these numbered types and our four commercial grades.
| Tobacco type | Nicotine (%) | Sugar (%) |
|---|---|---|
| Type 11-ci növ | 0.9% | 25% |
| Type 22-ci növ | 1.0% | 24% |
| Type 33-cü növ | 1.1% | 20% |
| Type 44-cü növ | 1.3% | 15% |
| Arithmetic mean | 1.075% | 21% |
Across these four entries, nicotine rises from 0.9% to 1.3% and sugar falls from 25% to 15%. The largest sugar decrease is between Types 3 and 4: 5 percentage points.
